JD Staron offers personalized service to meet our decerning clients design needs through all stages of every project. We are seeking an energetic, polished, and focused Full Time Sales Associate to join our Los Angeles Showroom. We believe deeply that the “right” people are our greatest asset.

Duties + Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with designers and architects, acting as a trusted advisor and consultant for their rug design and customization needs.
  2. Identify and proactively pursue new business opportunities, employing a go-getter attitude and strategic prospecting techniques to expand JD Staron's customer base.
  3. Conduct engaging product presentations and demonstrations, highlighting the versatility and creative potential of JD Staron's rugs. Collaborate with the design team to provide guidance and recommendations on design options and applications.
  4. Collaborate closely with the design and production teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery of accurate information regarding product availability, lead times, pricing, and customization options.
  5. Serve as the primary point of contact for existing accounts, providing exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, and promptly resolving any issues or concerns.
  6. Stay informed about current design trends, industry developments, and competitor activities, leveraging this knowledge to position JD Staron as a preferred choice among designers and architects.
  7. Prepare persuasive sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in alignment with company pricing and profitability guidelines.
  8. Consistently exceed sales targets, demonstrating a proactive approach in achieving quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  9. Provide regular sales reports and updates to the sales manager, offering insights on account performance, market trends, and customer feedback.

Experience & Skills:

  1. A strong drive and entrepreneurial spirit, with a passion for sales and a track record of achieving or surpassing targets.
  2. While prior experience in the design industry is preferred, candidates with a go-getter attitude and a willingness to learn and be trained in rug making and applications will also be considered.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  4. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
  5. Familiarity with the design industry, including knowledge of designers, architects, and key industry events, will be an advantage.
  6. Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools.
